  I haven't started this college yet and hoping I'll start in September. However, due to my visit to the college, I think it looks great, very helpful and respectful staff. They have kind and friendly students. As we all know and told by our secondary teachers and most students are told when they attend for an interview, colleges are places where students have to work independently and use their time wisely. If yourself/daughter/son is not an independent learner/hard worker then sixth forms are more recommendable, where you get help and they have strict rules, whereas in college the student has freedom which means they can do whatever they want. They can attend their courses if they want to or they attend late. Most students see this as an advantage and mess around and take it too far. Although the college may seem as if they don't care, they will permanently remove the student. That's because it will ruin the reputation of the college.
